U.S. pricing for Nissan 370Z models announced

Nissan North America, Inc. (NNA) announced U.S. pricing for 370Z Coupe, 370Z NISMO and 370Z Roadster, which are on sale now at Nissan dealers nationwide. The starting Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price (M.S.R.P.) for the 370Z Coupe has been reduced $3,130 USD and $2,550 USD for the 370Z Coupe Touring grade.
The M.S.R.P. reductions on 370Z Coupe increase its competitiveness in the growing sports car marketplace. This spring, Nissan repositioned the price on seven core models with an aim to broaden the reach of customer consideration during online shopping and research. Prices for the revised 2014 370Z NISMO and 2014 370Z Roadster remain at 2013 model year levels.
The Nissan 370Z Coupe continues to offer extraordinary performance, design and an unmatched heritage as one of the most iconic sports cars in automotive history. There are no significant product enhancements for 2014. The 2014 370Z NISMO has been revised to follow the new NISMO design theme with distinctive new exterior and interior accents. Enhancements include new dark gray coloring for the front and rear fascias, lower side sills, side mirrors and NISMO rear spoiler, with each element (except side sills) featuring NISMO-style red pinstripe accents. Interior enhancements include the addition of a new steering wheel with Alcantara® appointments and red accents and a red NISMO tachometer. The 370Z NISMO continues to offer 350-horsepower 3.7-liter V6, close-ratio 6-speed manual transmission, sport-tuned suspension and brakes and 19-inch forged aluminum-alloy wheels.
Like the 370 Coupe, the 2014 370Z Roadster offers unique design, performance and value – with the added exhilarating sensory experience of an advanced fully automatic convertible top. Complete details on all 2014 Z® models are available at nissannews.com.

Datsun is making a comeback

Datsun has revealed sketches giving a preview of the first new generation Datsun car, which will be unveiled at a world premiere event in New Delhi, India on July 15.
The car will be the first product aimed for the Indian market – and the first of the future Datsun model line-up to be launched from 2014.
The premiere event will not only unveil the new model, but also introduce the Datsun brand whose return to the market was announced in March 2012.
It marks a significant milestone and a new chapter in the history of this legendary brand aimed for high-growth markets like India, Indonesia and Russia in 2014 to be followed by South Africa later in the year.
Although Datsun models will be individually developed for different markets, the concept will follow a common inspiration.
All future Datsun models will offer up-and-coming customers in high-growth markets an engaging driving experience, peace of mind ownership and accessibility at the right and transparent price with a competitive total cost of ownership.
These product values will be supported by Nissan Motor Company's experience as a global car manufacturer and technical expertise for local optimized solutions.
The 21st century Datsun will deliver a rewarding brand experience with no compromise in terms of accessibility, reliability and durability – the values deep routed in the Datsun heritage.
"Datsun will bring competitive products and services, modern and aspirational, while at the same time reassuring, providing superior value and specifically developed for the emerging and ambitious new Middle Class in high-growth markets," said Vincent Cobee, Head of Datsun.
"The Datsun cars will be locally developed with the support of Nissan Motor Company engineers and stylists and will be locally produced."
Datsun has also launched a new website, Datsun.com. Brand and product information will be available after July 15th.
Datsun is Nissan's third global brand, alongside Nissan and Infiniti, in March 2012. Datsun will provide a sustainable motoring experience to optimistic up-and-coming customers in high-growth markets. Datsun represents 80 years of accumulated Japanese car-making expertise and is an important part of Nissan's DNA. Datsun vehicles will start sales in India, Indonesia, Russia and South Africa from 2014.
Datsun History
Datsun originated in Japan as DAT-GO (the DAT-car) almost a century ago in 1914. The word DAT means 'lightning-fast' in Japanese but is also a reference to the first letters of family names of the three financiers who supported the business at the time: Den, Aoyama and Takeuchi. Using the same logic, it was promoted as Durable, Attractive and Trustworthy, or DAT for short.
In 1933, Nissan's founding father Yoshisuke Aikawa took over the business with a vision of "mobility for all." The introduction of a light weight, economical yet resilient car to meet the aspirations of young Japanese people in the early 1930s was named the "son of DAT" – Datson - which later changed to Datsun. Local engineering and mass-production made the founder's dream a reality.

Best Retained Value Award for Nissan Rogue

The 2013 Nissan Rogue, known in its native Europe as Qashqai and in Australia as Dualis, has been named an Edmunds.com 2013 Best Retained Value Award Winner, taking top honors for SUVs under $25,000, with a retained value of 48.2 percent residual value after five years. Now in its third year, the Retained Value Awards recognizes brands and new car models that have the highest projected residual values based on their average Edmunds.com True Market Value (TMV) price when sold new.
"The Rogue is one of Nissan's best-selling vehicles, and value has always been part of this equation," said Jon Brancheau, vice president, Marketing, Nissan North America, Inc. "Customers recognize that they're getting lasting value from the Rogue's combination of dramatic exterior style, breakthrough technology such as Class Exclusive Around View® Monitor and interior utility, storage space and functionality. Earning this 2013 Best Retained Value Award accolade from Edmunds.com further solidifies Rogue's place in a very competitive segment."
All model-year 2013 vehicles that were launched by the end of 2012 and had unit sales in March 2013 that were at least 20 percent of the average unit sales for the models in its segment were eligible for this year's model-level Best Retained Value® Awards. Edmunds determined each model's competitive segment based on its body type and the sales-weighted average MSRP of all available styles (excluding destination charges) of that model's body type.
The 2013 Nissan Rogue offers a fusion of value and versatility, coupled with emotional design, innovation and breakthrough available technology, with the first non-luxury application of Around View Monitor. The 5-passenger SUV boasts a versatile 58 cubic feet of cargo space, ample space for drivers and passengers, a 60/40 split rear seat and an available fold-down front passenger seat. Utility is further enhanced by numerous storage and ultra-functionality features, including an oversized glove compartment, a large center console and a removable and washable tray that fits below the cargo area for storing wet or dirty gear and tools.
